Dig for Victory
As I always say credit where credits due for coming up with fabulous ideas (and this time it's due to my very good friend Esther) but I am totally loving the Victory Roll pincurl hairstyle. I will post an entry when I finally get it right (it's harder than it looks on youtube tutorials!). There's something about that hairstyle that oozes style and class and I am so going to be rocking that look this spring complete in a wrap / shirt dress style a la 1940's / 50's with some killer heels. Thinking about putting a bit of a modern spin on it and found this fantastic image online which I've posted below to give you an idea of how I'd like my hair. Now I just need to practice rolling and pinning apparently (oh and a ton of hairspray!).

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways......
FRENCH SOLE LEOPARD PRINT TWIST TIE CUFF SANDALS
How many ways indeed do I love these cute little numbers from French Sole at Topshop? Even the hefty-for-a-pair-of-sandals price tag of £135 isn't stopping the daydreams in my mind and countless outfits planning scenarios whirring round and round. I'm sure with a few extra shifts under my belt at work I could justify them on price per wear basis oui? They are flats and therefore practical......
Chocolate truffles not cigarettes....
Ok, so in an attempt to distract myself from craving cigarettes having given up for the new year, I'm making truffles. Not just any truffles you understand, truffles that will be coated in chocolate and edible glitter! Photos are enclosed, recipe is below.
200gms dark chocolate
150ml extra thick double cream
Edible glitter
Cocoa powder
150 gms milk chocolate (for outer layer if required)
Chop up the chocolate into fine pieces and pop them into a large bowl. Bring the cream to a rolling boil and add to the chocolate and stir till melted (you may need to put the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water to melt it further if there are still chunks). RESIST temptation to eat this! (It's called ganache btw). Chill to room temperature and set. Take a teaspoon of the ganache, dust hands with icing sugar and roll into a small ball. Either dust in cocoa powder and edible glitter or dip in melted milk chocolate to form a contrasting crunchy outer case. Done!! Yum......
Ay, chihuahua begins.....
